The technique used to create this item is known as Tie and Dye. Artisans create designs in the fabric by tying the fabric with cord or sewing the fabric with a thick needle and cord. The fabric is then dyed once or multiple times depending on the design. Once dyeing is complete, the fabric is boiled, washed and dried.
